Is God Speaking Through Social Networking
59There is much attention given to this new alternative dating strategy, and I can’t help but wonder if it really works. I’m young with some old-school values, so I’ve always believed a man should do the pursuing and women should be seen and not heard. But, as the world evolves into this social-networking pandemic, the rules for dating have changed.
The upside to this new partner-search source is:
1) You don’t have to leave your house to do it
2) Being on a bad BLIND-Date is non-existent
3) Those Old Dating Approach rules are out the window…anything goes.
When asked about dating initiations, most black “churched” people will tell you it is the man’s duty, privilege and a right-of-passage to be the aggressor. Some of the more spiritual wise guys would even accede with the belief that God will speak their wife into existence just as He did with light itself. But doesn’t this new dating game change all the rules?
There are a plethora of websites that promote intimate interactions. Eharmony, one of the most popular courting sites in the industry, has allegedly united many happy couples. A great percentage of them being born-again saints!
Does God speak to men and/or women of God through social network dating? And if so, who is the designated aggressor? Does this contemporary version of Adam meets Eve equal the dating playing field or are our novel rendezvous tactics against God’s divine structure for the family?
Is this new social medium responsible and capable of marital bliss built in HOLY MATRIMONY?

I would be extremely careful especially in matters of the heart. I have seen to many swept off their feet only to be greatly dissapointed or find out that the person was... Although you know that you are trying to present a clear picture, that is certainly not always the case. But God does; so consult Him before you... In this 21st century you just never know who you are talking with? It is better that they are connected to someone or something familiar...
Being patient is well worth the wait! You want someone who you are equally yoked with; having things in common and same principles and values... One thing I do know for sure God can provide that person for you. When He does there is absolutely no doubts. Is God speaking? I think He is always speaking; we just have to get better at listening. Be careful and discerning....Social networking "Holy Matrimony" I say its questionable?

As the world evolves, so does customs and traditions and I believe one must take advantage of new technology whenever possible. However, I strongly feel one must use prudence and spiritual discernment in their dealings with the unknown. I think social dating sites are great but they will never replace a one-on-one encounter. Be blessed and be safe!
I would personally not see anyone I met online. But on the other hand, you can't put God in a box. He can use any method he wants to bring people together. Good points!

I wouldnt trust cyber methods type of "Dating" I know God knows a perfect partner, and he will always do it his way, and cause two to be one his way, at his own time, if you hand the requset over to him. Probably the answer comes from your own town.
